Snowy Sunday.

Another cosy, snowed in sort of day today.  Lots of reading Richard Scarry and Astrosaurs to Tarka, whilst Mia, Willow and Ash were out and about doing the essential jobs.  We made lentil dahl for lunch, everyone helped ad there was only a little fighting over the one vegetable knife.  They each have a wooden chopping board, I see now that not having a knife each too was a mistake.

Willow refuses to wear her hat or coat even though it was bitterly cold today.  All three are getting very excited about Christmas now and we are hoping to make some mince pies tomorrow.

  1. I can sympathise with the 2 year old refusing to wear hat, coat, gloves etc. Dd was getting herself undressed whilst ewe were going along the other day. Fortunately she was in the sling, so could get some warmth from me!

  2. We love Richard Scarry books very, very much! Leo's absolute favourite.
Hope Tarka is feeling much better. Wish we could pop over to share some soup and a snowy walk!
    Love to you all.

  3. Dahl looks delicious and warming after all that snow! We are on our third day of being snowed in and loving the slowed down life.
Loved the babywearing photos too, Dad and babe look so happy together. Did comment but blogger doesn't seem to be posting my comments on random sites?
    Hope this gets through.
    Seasons blessings to you all.

  6. I always think how cozy your Yurt looks! Pip is very good about coats and I knitted her a pixie hat that, ties under the chin, so she has to be pretty determined to take it off!! Gloves are a very different story however!!

    Happy Solstice for tomorrow
    San and all xx
