Saturday
Our morning began with drawing and cutting and sticking at the table and we made birthday cards for little nanny's birthday.
Mia and Willow went out to refill our bird feeders, these birds eat so much, it's like having lots more little mouths to feed on a daily basis.
Then I was happy to discover that Mia and Willow were more than happy bring all the logs in to fill the baskets, so I sat with Tarka, who still prefers to be indoors (a sure sign that he's not feeling one hundred percent yet) and drank vanilla rooibos tea with my feet up and watched them do all the hard work.
We found this beautiful piece of ice which looks as though it has an ice fern growing inside it.

What a fantastic piece of ice. I could spend ages looking at ice, and would love to have seen how that ice had formed.
