A train ride to nanny's house.

And back at home,  a visit to Butser Ancient farm - roundhouses, sheep, pigs, a roman villa and skulls.

Tarka near the roundhouses.  'It's just like our house', he said.
This Roman villa had three swallows nests inside and we watched the parents feeding the noisy babies and darting in and out of the tiny windows to collect more insects.

  1. Lovely to see your lot enjoying the Ancient Farm - we LOVE it there. It is a magical place. Last time we went, we saw a coach parked in the car park and my heart sank, thinking it would be rather hectic - but the place swallowed that coach load of people and we still enjoyed a peaceful magical time there. It's brilliant :-)
